Citrine

Citrine does not hold and accumulate negative energy, but dissipates and transmutes it. It never needs cleansing

Amethyst

According to “Melody” in her book Love is in the Earth – A Kaleidoscope of Crystals,“ Amethyst is a stone of spirituality and contentment.  It facilitates transmutation of lower energies into the higher frequencies of both the spiritual and ethereal levels.

Amethyst is also a stone of meditation. It is excellent in conducting the energy of calm and peacefulness to help one to both enter and maintain that state.

Amethyst can be used to protect against psychic attacks. The energy of the attack be transmitted to the universe after its transformation into positive, loving energy.”

Amethyst is usually Lavender to pale purple.  Increases right brain activity.  Cuts through illusion and enhances psychic abilities and intuition.  Brings sleep and pleasant dreams.  Also helps to ease headaches.

Amethyst is an excellent all-around healing and meditation stone. It works with the third eye & crown charkas.

Selenite

According to Katrina Raphaell, in her book, The Crystalline Transmission, Selenite resides on the thread of a threshold between pure white light and physical matter. It vibrates more on the spiritual level than that of the physical.  That is one of the reasons why Selenite can bend, curl, turn red hot and back again before your very eyes.

Capable of displaying total transparency, Selenite’s essence is that of which dreams and visions are made.  Unlike the clearest of Quartz, which can work on all levels of physicality.  It opens the Solar Star chakra (located above your head) and strengthens our connection to Spirit.

Selenite builds the bridge through which the highest frequencies of light can be integrated with the most subtle levels of form.  Bending pure white light to manifest onto the earth plane is Selenite’s forte.

It then becomes the job of Kyanite, Calcite, Hematite, and a host of other crystalline entities to further channel and density that energy into other facets of human expression.

Open the Solar Star Chakra and Earth Star Chakra

One of the most effective ways I have found to open the solar start chakra and earth star chakra is using Selenite above the head and Hematite below the feet. What this does is allow you to be connected to the God source or spiritual energies from above and out into the universe while still still receiving the grounding and nurturing energies of the earth mother.

Also, some good advice is to take a tub soak in about 2 cups of sea salt for about 20 minutes afterwards.  This will allow the energies and information to be absorbed and help keep you balanced.

Quartz Crystal

Quartz is the most powerful healing and energy amplifier on the planet because of its unique spiral crystalline form.  Found worldwide, it absorbs, stores, releases and regulates energy and is excellent for unblocking it.

Healing with Crystals and Gems

The practice of using crystals and gemstones for healing and magic is very old. Some cultures use them even today, and in recent years they have become especially popular in Europe and America whether in their natural state or cut and polished as wands, spheres or other geometric shapes or as gemstones in jewelry.

Shamans of many cultures gazed into clear natural quartz crystals to read the past and the future. Turquoise chunks were tied to horses’ manes to magically protect them and their riders from falls. Jade was prized as a bringer of prosperity and good fortune in Asia and the Americas. Europeans believed that amethyst could prevent drunkenness.

In Europe, long before clear quartz crystal balls came to be used for fortune-telling, pale pink beryl (morganite) was carved and polished into crystal spheres used for reading the future or scrying for secrets. In Asia crystal spheres were believed to be the frozen breath of dragons.

Every common mineral has its lore, purposes, and symbolic meanings. Often the shape into which it was carved was considered almost as important as the stone itself. Frequently magical words and symbols were engraved on polished gemstones.

Some of the most treasured gems also have had the most powerful healing qualities attributed to them. Diamonds, sapphires, rubies, amethysts (a name originally used for the extremely rare purple sapphires), and others have all had miraculous properties attributed to them at some times and places.

The most precious stones were often used to adorn sacred objects in temples. Some of the most celebrated stones, if stolen, were believed to convey bad luck or curses to those who were not entitled to the precious stones they possessed.
